Bulletproof Coffee: A Better Gamer Fuel

As a gamer who also happens to be a husband, father and has a full time job, it can be difficult to find time for the hobby that I love so much. Often times I need to wait until 10pm or later to get in some gaming. And as man who will be turning 40 years old this year (!!!), those late night gaming sessions can take a toll and it can be difficult to find the energy to stay up while also being able to wake up by 6am to get my kids to school and myself to work.

I’ve tried several of those trendy energy drinks that are all the rage, but they’re loaded with sugar and most of them taste like dirty bathwater. I also tried one of those tiny little bottles that promise you a blast of energy for several hours, but that made me feel like my heart was going to burst out of my chest like a xenomorph. So basically I’m left with two choices… A) abandon my family and all adult responsibilities to focus on playing video games all day, or… B) find a better, healthier alternative that gives me more energy and focus throughout the day. After giving both options a great deal of consideration I decided to go with ‘B”, and that’s when I discovered Bulletproof Coffee.

If you’re unfamiliar with Bulletproof Coffee, there are basically three pillars that make it stand out from your run of mill brew (think of it as sort of the TriForce of coffee). First off is the Bulletproof Original Ground Coffee which is hand picked in Central America and treated using the proprietary Bulletproof Process to greatly minimize the levels of toxins, bacteria, and mold. I don’t know about you, but having less mold in my morning beverage is a big plus right off the bat.

Then there’s the Brain Octane Oil. Think of it as being like a potion that you’d take in an RPG to help boost your stats right before a boss fight. It increases both your physical and mental energy and boosts your cognitive function to help you power through your day. I know it sounds wild, but this stuff really does work. And if you’ve ever met me before, you know that my brain could use all of the support that it can get. Oh, and get this… according to their website, Brain Octane is orangutan friendly. Yep. You heard me right.

Finally there’s the Grass Fed Ghee. It’s a 100% pure butterfat that comes from cows that are grass fed. It’s created by slowly heating over an open flame to remove all of the moisture and milk solids to create a pure, clarified butter. If there’s one rule that I live by, it’s that butter makes everything better. Just wait until you taste this stuff in your coffee!

Whipping up a cup of Bulletproof was so simple that even I could do it, just brew the grounds as you would any other cup of coffee, mix in two teaspoons of the Brain Octane and a tablespoon or two of the Ghee and blend for 30 seconds. Voila! It’s a quick and easy way to start the day while also ensuring that you’ll have plenty of energy to get smoked by kids half your age at Overwatch well into the night.

I’ll be the first to admit that I was skeptical about Bulletproof when I first heard about it (and not just because of all of the big words that I didn’t understand). Gamers are used to mile high promises and expectations that fail to deliver, but Bulletproof Coffee really does what they say it does. I started drinking it recently and besides the fact that it’s super yummy, it really did make me feel more alert and attentive throughout the day. My wife even told me that I seemed slightly less idiotic than usual, and that’s a seal of approval if I’ve ever heard one.

Don’t just take my word for it though, visit their website at Bulletproof.com to find out about all of the reasons why you should give it a try. They’ve got a full range of products from protein bars to supplements and tea & hot chocolate. They’ve got everything you need to “Fuel Your Awesome”!
